I had known Charlie in the mid 70's. We met at Rumrill-Hoyt an advertising agency that we both worked for. He worked as a proof reader in the Traffic Dept. He was always polite and kind. I enjoyed working with him. We would both walk to the subway together at 5p.m. to catch the train back to Brooklyn. Edna was our Supervisor and George was also a friend of ours. Charlie will always be in our hearts because he was such a special person full of love. May God Bless. Edie

Mark – We go back I’m guessing at LEAST a quarter-century and maybe even 30 years … that’s how long it’s been since I left corporate life (VP Marketing/Communications Avon) and became a freelance writer. (www.mikegreenly.com) Some of my older files disappeared long ago but I still have one showing that you and I were working together on a Merck project (you were Exec. CD at Caribiner) in the summer of 1999. I remember your saying a number of times “I agree with you Mike a THOUSAND percent!” That is the highest alignment score I’ve ever received from anyone Mark, so we must have been a really great team! And, I know that in addition to being a very intelligent man you also have a very sweet spirit. I will always wish you well. Best - mike http://www.mikegreenly.com/

Mark I was directing a short play. During the second scene male cello players use females as cellos. I start searching for photos on the net and very soon I was happily surprised to find your photo here with you wonderfully executing what we were looking for. I also loved your taking on Chopin's Nocturne I hope you are still healthy and with your family. All best Stellios

Mark This is such an inspiring tribute to the people who matter most in your life. Thank you for the time and effort you gave in preparing the details in this endeavor. Mark you probably won't remember me Cathy Metcalfe (now Fraser). We were in high school together. It is very strange but I had a dream about you last night. This morning I searched for you on the internet and discovered this wonderful blog. I have smiled and cried reading about your life and the many highs and lows you have courageously gone through. I hope that you are blessed with good health and good friendships in the New Year.

Hi Mark ! It was by chance I picked up the paper while home visiting my mother and there in front of me was a picture of three classmates and a teacher staring at me. Other than Dorothea we are all showing our age. I was struck by your story and followed you to facebook and then to your webpage. Having fought my own battles with cancer I found inspiration in the courage you have shown. Take care my friend and live life to its fullest.

Mark you have created a collection I can only call a masterpiece on these pages. I felt blessed to get to know Rita and when I met you I felt blessed again. Your strength and compassion and courage is incredible. And now I can only use the word 'honored' to describe how I feel after spending time on this site. Thank you so very much for sharing "Life's Little Moments" with us. I laughed cried and am in awe of your talents. And yes the love is clear to see...your parents were truly special. Again thank you for the gift of your story. I will visit often.

This might be kind of long but Mark and I have known each other since we were 14. He is the most high-spirited and tenacious person I've ever met and this web site shows that. But I have my own "Mark-in-action" images which inspire me: Mark steering our high school variety shows along as MC or Mark catching up with his IV pole when it slid down a ramp ahead of him at the Sloane Kettering and then doing a pirouette around it and just last summer Mark tramping through the woods behind his childhood home determined to find a fresh water spring he remembered from 45 years ago. Of course he found it. I phoned him once when we were in university to cry on his shoulder about not getting in with the flute teacher I wanted. He listened to me explain why I HAD to study with her and then suggested I write a letter to her including everything I'd told him. It worked! She accepted me and I'll always be grateful to Mark for encouraging me to persist. It's a good thing to go through life with Mark on your side he truly rejoices in his friends' successes. Love ya 1.1!

I am very proud of Mark and this wonderful project. He has really had so much fun putting this together and it really tells his love of friends family and music. We spent many many crazy hospital nights together talking about these stories while Mark was going through some hard times when creating this was just a thought to help him through. It is really a blessing to be his go to guy and friend. Everyone going through what you did should have this wonderful and positive energy outlet.

I met Mark many many years ago when we were business competitors. I wasn’t impressed at all as he looked too slick with his very tight jeans collar turned up on his custom made shirts and fancy cowboy boots – I said to myself ‘he really thinks he’s great’…. well I have to admit he WAS. I was terrified when we had to pitch against each other because he was so good and won too many proposals. Many years have now passed and I’m proud to say he is my friend. I love his company his wit his stories his silly self…I just love him!

I have known Mark for over 20 years and he is part of my family as well as a true and great friend. Mark gives with all his heart and asks for nothing in return. We have shared many good times laughing together as well as unfortunately some not so good shedding a lot of tears but always there for each other. What else can I say except i am proud to call Mark my friend!!

Have you ever had a "little" problem with your computer lost patience finding the solution and gave up? Did you need advice on a product you were considering buying? Do you enjoy a friend who has so many talents that you are amazed? A friend who does not loose his courage when life is getting tough? Someone who can handle the ups and downs he faces? Someone who sticks with his friends through thick and thin? Someone who loves to sleep in your car when you drive for hours? I was lucky that I found such a person: Mark

Mark & I have known one another abourt 30 years from the time he lived in Greenwich CT. We maintained a close friendship based on love & respect through good times & bad times. We along with Charlie and others over the years spent summer weekends in the Poconos. We also had a great vacation in Italy one of my favorite countries. As friends Mark has always been there for me and I for Mark. How many friendships endure 30 years? Not many. Thank you Mark. I am proud to say you are one of my dearest and oldest not in age 🙂 friends.

A few inspirations come to mind when I think of Mark . . . " and those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music " Friedrich Neitzsche " there's a crack in everything - that's how the light get's in " Leonard Cohen "Life isn't about waiting for showers to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain" Vivian Greene My friend Mark has embraced life and danced with joy not fear. Enjoy this beautiful love/family/friend/career reflection. I look forward to sharing more life moments in the spirit of love . . . Love to you Mark and thank you for sharing this beautiful album.
