Epic Moment – 40 Years in the Making

This was an epic triumph – 40 years in the making. For the first time in over four decades, I’ve returned to the thing that once defined me: singing. While my path eventually led me away from the opera stage and into the world of technology and digital creativity, the passion never left. Yesterday, fresh off creating  Father’s Day Video to my late brother Jay, I found myself drawn to a different kind of tribute — one to my younger self. The song “If I Were a Rich Man” from Fiddler on the Roof has echoed in my heart since childhood, back when I was growing up in a small Canadian town. So I dusted off my vocal cords and created something that is, quite literally, 40 years in the making.

This is not just a cover. It’s not just nostalgia. It’s an emotional synthesis of memory, passion, technology, and yes — a little bit of nerve. My performance is raw, imperfect, deeply personal — and entirely intentional. I’m not trying to be Zero Mostel or Luciano Pavarotti. I’m trying to be the most honest version of myself, giving voice to a dream that’s been quietly waiting to be heard again. What you’ll see is me performing with every ounce of the exaggerated expressiveness I once reserved for the stage. Near the very end of the video, don’t miss my cantorial chant — it’s a spiritual moment, a nod to my roots and a final burst of joy. If you’ve ever let go of a dream only to find it returning when you least expected — this one’s for you. This performance is a statement of reclaiming, reimagining, and celebrating the voice inside. Thank you for watching this personal moment brought to life.
